Special Tours – Friday, October 1, Afternoon

After the conference is over, please join us for one of two special tours in Washington, DC:

La Clinica del Pueblo: This pioneering clinic has provided free culturally and linguistically appropriate health services to Latino clients for more than 20 years, funded by an impressive array of local and national supporters. For more information, please see their website at http://www.lcdp.org/

National Museum of the American Indian: With the grand opening just a week before the conference, this is a unique opportunity to visit this new addition to the Smithsonian with a special guided visit. For information, please see their website at http://www.nmai.si.edu/

Both tours will be held in the afternoon on Friday, October 1. Full details, including exact times, will be available here during the summer—please check back. The fee for these tours will cover chartered transportation to the sites, with the remainder being donated to the respective organizations as a tax-deductible contribution.

As with the rest of Diversity Rx, this section is a work in progress and we welcome information on other efforts, programs, and reports that will expand upon the information offered here. Please let us know if you have other examples to include here.
